Jury selection begins in murder trial for SWMO man

Jurors are being picked in Northwest Missouri’s Platte County for the trial of a South-west Missouri man accused of kidnapping, raping, and killing a nine-year old girl. The trial of Christopher Collings of Wheaton is to start next week in Rolla.  He and the stepfather of nine-year-old Rowan Ford are charge with the girl’s death. The two men are being tried separately. The stepfather, David Spears, will be tried later in Pulaski County.
