Senior Marcus Denmon and sophomore Phil Pressey were named to the Naismith Midseason 30 Watch List, announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club on Wednesday. Mizzou joins Kentucky, North Carolina and Syracuse as the only schools with two representatives on the list.

Denmon, who has also been named to the Oscar Robertson and Wooden Award midseason lists, leads the Tigers and ranks second in the Big 12 Conference in scoring at 18.2 ppg. The senior also leads the league in free throw percentage (.902), ranks second in 3-point field goals made (2.90), fourth in steals (1.52) and pulls down an impressive 5.1 rpg. In his Mizzou career, Denmon has amassed 1,683 points, which currently ranks ninth all-time on the school scoring list. He also ranks first all-time at Mizzou in games played (135, tied with teammate Kim English), second in 3-point field goals (269) and 3-point field goals attempted (667), seventh all-time in steals (168), ninth in field goals made (568) and field goals attempted (1,241).

Pressey, also one of 20 finalists for the Bob Cousey Award honoring the nation’s top point guard, currently leads the Big 12 in both assists (6.2) and steals (2.1), while ranking second in assist-turnover ratio (2.49), to go along with averages of 9.8 ppg. and 3.4 rpg. The sophomore tied Missouri’s single-season assist record of 179 against Kansas on Feb. 25 and will hold the mark alone with his next assist. Pressey also holds Mizzou the single-season record for most 10-assist games (six) and stands as the only Tiger to post at least seven assists in four straight games.
