Three SE Missouri residents plead guilty to counterfeiting ring

Three of the five suspects accused in a counterfeiting ring avoid a trial and pleaded guilty in federal court.22-year-old Darius Robinson,19-year-old Brynet Trice and 25-year-old Jessica Gross each pleaded guilty Tuesday in the U-S District Court in Cape Girardeau to counterfeiting. They are accused of making and passing fake 10, 20, and 50-dollar bills at businesses in Dexter, Cape, Sikeston, and Poplar Bluff last fall.They were set to go to trial this week, but instead pleaded guilty. They will be sentenced May 21st. Two other co-conspirators, 27-year-old Terry Hester and 28-year-old Darius Lankford are still going through the court system.
