Clay County man admits to killing wife

A three-year-old missing person’s case has been solved in Clay County with a woman’s husband admitting he killed her. The husband, Shon Pernice, has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and admitted that he hit his wife, Renee, causing her to fall down some stairs. His lawyer says the fall killed her. Authorities think Pernice put her body in a trash bag and left it in a trash bin. Authorities think it’s somewhere in a two-acre area of a landfill. Pernice pleaded guilty six days before his first-degree murder trial was to start.  He faces 15 years in prison when he’s sentenced in May
