A young mother whose newborn boy was found wrapped in a blanket under a tree in St. Louis County has surrendered to police in Ellisville. The woman faces a child abandonment and a child endangerment charge. The child is okay and is in custody of the state division of family services. The young woman was found under post-delivery treatment at a St. Louis hospital but has now been released.
