An O’Fallon woman who blew the whistle on bad loan practices by Citigroup will get $31 million of the $158 million dollar settlement Citigroup has made with the federal government. The woman, Sherry Hunt, was part of a quality control team that discovered flaws in new loans Citigroup was making. Citigroup listed the loans as qualified for the federal insurance program instead of reporting the problems to the Federal Housing Administration.     Hunt filed a sealed lawsuit against Citigroup in August. The federal government joined her suit.
