Alden outlines changes coming to Mizzou

February 21, 2012 By Bill Pollock

In a letter posted to fans on the Tigers website, Missouri Athletic Director Mike Alden announced several changes that will begin taking place as the school makes the transistion to the SEC.

Among the highlights of the letter…ticket prices across the board will be going up except for students and faculty. The increase will bring ticket prices right in the middle of the pack in the SEC. Fans will no longer be able to leave and re-enter the stadium during the game. The field will get a new artificial playing surface. It was time. More of the black rubber was starting to show through than any of the green.

The team itself will also unveil a new look. The university has been working with Nike on updating the uniforms. Judging from Alden’s comments, it sounds like the block M on the helmets will be gone.  The new uniforms will be worn during the team’s spring game on April 14.
