St. Charles man awarded $70,000 in civil rights lawsuit

A St.Charles man has accepted 70-thousand dollars to settle his civil rights lawsuit against three St. Charles County law enforcement officers.The man, Phillip Albertnet, filed the suit after his arrest in 2009, claiming officers had put him in a headlock and punched and kicked him. At the time Albertnet was wanted on charges of making meth and child endangerment.
