Washington pleads guilty to domestic assault

February 15, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Former Missouri running back Derrick Washington was sentenced on Tuesday to 90 days in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree domestic assault. The sentence will run concurrently with his previous sentence for felony deviate sexual assault.

In this domestic assault case, Washington was accused of grabbing his ex-girlfriend by the throat and hitting her multiple times in the face, giving her a bloody nose, swollen lips and a bruised forehead.

Washington was released by the Tiger football staff in 2010 after the domestic and sexual assault allegations became public.
