Tom Carnahan to lead renewable energy lobby group in Washinton

February 14, 2012 By Jessica Machetta

The chairman of the company that set up northwest Missouri’s first wind farms has resigned, saying he wants to look at other projects including some in renewable energy. Tom Carnahan stepped aside as the chief executive of Wind Capital Group a year ago but has been the company chairman since.

He becomes the chairman of the Amerian Wind Energy Association in a few weeks. That’s a lobbying group pushing renewable energy legislation in Washington.
