Alex Pietrangelo scored two goals and Jaroslav Halak made 25 saves as the Blues won 3-0 over San Jose Sunday night at Scottrade Center in St. Louis. It was Halak’s sixth shutout in 10 starts.

The Blues have an NHL best 24 wins at home, but still trail Detroit for the Central Division lead and top spot in the Western Conference. Detroit won their 20th straight at home on Sunday. The Blues haven’t been too shabby on home ice. They’ve gone 19 games (16-0-3) without a loss.

Pietrangelo and David Perron scored power play goals against the Pacific Divison leading Sharks and Pietrangelo added an empty netter. Andy McDonald, who missed 51 games from concussion symptons, added an assist in his first game back on Pietrangelo’s first goal.
