Phil Pressey scored 19 points, leading the 4th ranked Missouri Tigers who made a season best 14 three-pointers, in a 72-57 win over 6th ranked Baylor. Pressey, Michael Dixon and Marcus Denmon all made four three-pointers each as the Tigers improve to 23-2 overall and 10-2 in Big 12 play.

Baylor dominated in the rebounding department winning 40-27 on the boards including 15 offensive rebounds. While Baylor was able to score 21 second chance points, their forwards still struggled to make shots and take advantage of more of those rebounds. Perry Jones III had just four points on 2-for-12 shooting.

Mizzou led 38-37 with just over 15 minutes to play when they went on a 20-6 run over the next seven-plus minutes to open a 58-43 lead. During that run the Tigers hit six three-pointers and got a dunk from Steve Moore off a nice feed on the baseline by Denmon for his only basket of the game.  Frank Haith started his post game press conference talking about Moore being a “live wire” for his team.

Denmon was second on the team with 16 points, and needed just nine to pass Jon Sundvold for 10th on Missouri’s career scoring list.
