The troubled city of Kinloch has hired a man on parole for writing bad checks as its new city administrator—just two months after former mayor Keith Conway was sentenced to prison for using city funds to pay for a Florida timeshare and other expenses, including nine-thousand dollars in back taxes.

New Kinloch city manager Eric Mason tells the St. Louis Post-Disptch he doesn’t care how his hiring appears to outsiders. He’ll be on probation until 20-14.
