Two decades-old fetuses to be laid to rest

February 4, 2012 By Mike Lear

Residents of Hannibal are preparing a burial service for two fetuses found preserved in jars in the basement of a building in downtown Hannibal this week.

A local funeral home, monument company and cemetery are going to provide the service, burial and marker for the pair.

The fetuses are thought to have been premature births dating back as much as 60 years. The building they were found in was once a medical clinic.
