The U.S. Department of Energy has picked at team from Missouri University of Science and Technology to compete in this year’s Solar Decathlon. Twenty schools from throughout the world have been chosen to compete in a contest to build a solar-powered house. The teams will spend the next couple of years developing their entries on their home campuses. They’ll dismantle them and rebuild them in Irvine, Calif. in the fall of 2013. This will be the fifth time in a dozen years that the school has had a team in the competition.
