Unemployment inches down in Missouri

The Federal Bureau of Labor Statistics says Missouri lost a net of 11,800 jobs last month. That’s about four-tenths of one percent of the payroll jobs in the state. The agency says Missouri finished the year with an 8 percent unemploment rate, down 1.6 points for the year. The bureau says 245,000 Missourians were unemployed in December, about 42,000 fewer than in December 2010.
