The St. Louis Blues rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to tie the game, but were unable to get past the Pittsburgh Penguins, who won their seventh straight game, on a shootout for a 3-2 final over the Blues.

Chris Kunitz scored in the fourth round after the Blues’ Alex Pietrangelo did not convert for the Blues. Kunitz lifted a backhander over the glove of Brian Elliott as the Penguins won the shootout by a 2-1 margin.

Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made at least five big saves after the game was tied 2-2 to force OT. Fleury robbed David Backes, Patrik Berglund and Vladimir Sobotka in close in the last 10 minutes as the Blues fought back after allowing the Penguins to take a 2-0 lead on goals by James Neal and Steve Sullivan.

Berglund scored two goals in a 10-minute span over the second and third periods. His first game exactly three minutes after the Pens took their two goal lead. Berglund’s game tying goal came on a penalty shot 5:06 into the third.
