University of Missouri has interest in playing in Kansas City

The Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce called a meeting with University of Missouri officials, the Chiefs and Sprint Center officials to gauge just how serious Mizzou is to continuing some type of presence in the Kansas City area. Director of Athletics Mike Aldon is certainly in favor of that.

While this was just an exploratory meeting, some of the ideas discussed included Missouri continuing to play an annual football game in Arrowhead Stadium, and serving as host for a holiday basketball tournament at Sprint Center, which would be similar to the old Big Eight tournament that used to be held around Christmas.
