St. Louis company pleads guilty to hiring illegal immigrants

January 18, 2012 By Mary Furness

A St.Louis company that hired more than ten illegal immigrants will forfeit 150-thousand dollars and not get involved with illegal immigrants for a year.

The company, J&J Industrial Supply, has pleaded guilty to hiring the immigrants, who have been with the company since 2008.  The federal prosecutor says company owner Jerry McArthur took five immigrants to Kansas City to get identification cards to show police. He was stopped for speeding in St. Charles County on his way to Kansas City. McArthur also has to forfeit the SUV he was driving that day.
