A respected Army chaplain who thought he was sending graphic sexual videos of himself to a 14-year-old girl has been convicted of sexually exploiting a child. The “child” actually was a St. Charles County deputy sheriff who got about seven hours of video and hundreds of texts from Lieutenant Colonel Keith A. Jackson.

His court martial recommends the equivalent of a dishonorable discharge, which will cost him about one-and-half million dollars in pensions and his right to vote. If the Army approves the judge’s recommendations, Jackson won’t serve any additional prison time. But he will have to be a registered sex offender.
