Police in Nixa have interviewed a man who offered to give a nine-year-old boy a ride to his bus stop Friday morning in what is being called a child abduction attempt.
The boy did not accept the offer. Neighbors say the man worked for a contractor in the neighborhood.
He told police he was only trying to help the child. Authorities are considering whether to file criminal charges.
