UPI/Bill GreenblattSt. Louis Blues goaltender Brian Elliott has been named to the 2012 NHL All-Star Game for the first time in his career, the National Hockey League announced Thursday.

The 26 year old Elliot is in his first year with the Blues and his fifth in the league. The 6’3, 204-pound goaltender has posted a 15-5-0 record and ranks second in the NHL with a 1.62 goals-against average, .940 save percentage and a career-high-tying five shutouts. Elliott has allowed the fewest goals (33) and suffered the fewest losses among goaltenders with at least 20 starts as well as posted the league’s top home record going 9-1-0 at Scottrade Center.

On October 26, 2011 at Vancouver, he became the first Blues goaltender in club history to earn wins in his first four starts of a single season.
