The Missouri Tigers finished out of the final AP top 25 poll, receiving votes, but finishing 29th. Alabama was voted No. 1 getting 55 first-place votes, No. 2 LSU got one. Big 12 champion Oklahoma State was No. 3 and received four first-place votes. Others from the SEC. Arkansas was five, South Carolina nine, and Georgia was 19.

Springfield Hillcrest star wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham said he plans to wait until national signing day on February 1st, before he makes his announcement. The schools believed to be in the running along with Missouri are Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Texas. On Saturday at the Army Bowl, a high school all-star game, Beckham caught two passes for 88 yards, one of those a 79 yard touchdown, where he used one hand to bring in the pass. That was an Army Bowl record.

Mike Anderson Jr. the son of former Mizzou baskeball coach Mike Anderson Sr. was arrested in Fayetteville, AR early Sunday morning on suspicion of drunken driving. It’s the second time for Anderson Jr. He was suspended from the Mizzou basketball team in 2007 for an alcohol related arrest.

Bradley Beal, a former Chaminade High School star and one of the nation’s top recruits last year has struggled in his last four games at Florida where he’s made just 14 of his last 47 shots and has had more turnovers (14) than assists (9) in that span. The Gators open SEC play Tuesday night against Georgia. Beal is averaging 14 points this season for 19th ranked Florida.
