Three high school students in El Dorado Springs are facing animal abuse charges for stealing and beating farm animals.

Police say the three severely beat the four goats and one piglet and then dumped them at the high school’s softball field. Two of the goats died, one had to be euthanized and the piglet was found in a dumpster.

Joshua Markus, 17, Tyrel Parsley, 18, and Hunter Harper, 18, also face charges for trespassing, tampering with a motor vehicle and improper disposal. Authorities say more serious charges are possible.
