The organization that advocates for people abused by Catholic priests has been served with a second subpoena from the church. This time it’s the St. Louis Archdiocese that is demanding an official of the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests give a deposition. The Kansas City diocese had issued a subpoena last year that forced SNAP’s director, David Clohessy to testify in a priest abuse case. The St. Louis subpoena names the organization’s outreach director there. The archdiocese says the subpoena focuses on a specific case. Clohessy says the subpoenas are intended to cripple his organization’s ability to help clergy abuse victims.
