Fire destroys business vital to model railroaders

January 6, 2012 By Jessica Machetta

Fire has badly damaged a nationally-known factory in Linn Creek, in Camden Co., and has emptied the city’s two water towers.

The fire has destroyed two buildings at the Woodland Scenics factory and has damaged a third building. Woodland Scenics employs about 150 people who make little buildings, trees, and other scenic elements used by model railroaders.
