The Central Missouri Mules turned in their most complete performance of the season and routed eighth-ranked Fort Hays State 78-40 on Wednesday night at the UCM Multipurpose Building. The win was UCM’s first over a top-10 opponent since a win at No. 10 Fort Hays State on February 13, 2010. The win was UCM’s first over a ranked opponent since beating Fort Hays State when they were ranked No. 12, 75-68 last February.

The 40 points given up is the lowest point total by an MIAA opponent in the Kim Anderson era and the lowest since giving up 37 points to Lincoln in the 1983-84 season.

The Mules are back in action next Wednesday, January 11 hosting Northwest Missouri State at 7:30 p.m.
