Ameren Missouri is showing people at the Lake of the Ozarks a new shoreline management plan that takes most of the homes threatened by an earlier plan out of danger. The earlier plan would have required removal of about 1,600 structures — homes, boat houses and other structures.
The new plan has some flexibility in it so the company can adjust boundaries to protect other residences. Ameren-Missouri built Bagnell Dam and created the lake in the 1930s when it was known as Union Electric
