SEC Quick Hits for 1/3

January 3, 2012 By Bill Pollock

Missouri is still in the mix for WR Dorial Green-Beckham, the recruit told Rivals.com at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio. Widely considered the best recruit in the country, Green-Beckham said of MU: “They have a really good chance, like any other school on my list.”

SEC schools launch “We back Pat” week.

CBS Sports reports–Freshman WR DeAnthony Arnett will be released from his scholarship and can choose any school close to his home in Saginaw, Mich. to be closer to his ill father. “Over the last two weeks I’ve had some real good one-on-one conversations (with DeAnthony),” Derek Dooley said. “I’m very comfortable carving out an exception for him.”

LSU-Alabama is worth the rematch.
