Four of Missouri’s first five conference football games will be at Faurot Field before the Tigers will end the season with three straight road games. The first football schedule that includes Missouri and Texas A & M as the newest members of the Southeastern Conference has been released. As reported last week, the Tigers will host the Georgia Bulldogs in their first ever SEC game Sept 8 in Columbia, MO. After a road trip to Columbia, SC on Sept. 22, Mizzou will host Vandy, Alabama and Kentucky during the month of October. The Tigers conclude SEC play at Florida, Tennessee and Texas A & M in the month of November.
Head coach Gary Pinkel released a statement saying,
“It’s good to see the schedule lined out on paper. Even though we just finished our season, this gets everyone excited to start preparing for the move. We’re very pleased and honored to be joining such a successful and historically significant conference, and our program is looking forward to the challenges that we’ll face,” Pinkel said.
