Republic Superintendent won’t return in Fall ’13

December 21, 2011 By Brian Hauswirth

By a four to three vote, the school board in Republic has decided not to renew the superintendent’s contract when it expires in June of 2013.

The President of the Republic School Board says the decision not to renew the contract of the superintendent had nothing to do with the recent lawsuit about a student who claimed her reports of rape were ignored, or the banned books controversy.

Dr. Vern Minor will serve through the end of next school year in Republic.
