With the likelihood that Tom Brandstater will be making the start at quarterback for the Rams, his main priority will be handing the ball off to Steven Jackson, something the Rams got away from in their first meeting with the Seahawks.  Jackson finished with only 42 yards on 15 carries as offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels ditched the run game as the Rams went to a more spread offense against the Seahawks in a 24-7 loss in week 11.

The Rams defense which has been shoddy this whole season against the run has got to find a way to slow Marshawn Lynch who has been solid for the past month. Lynch leads the Hawks with 854 yards and eight touchdowns, but Lynch had just 88 yards on 22 carries with a three yard score for an average of 3.3 yards per carry…a pretty good outing for a Rams defense that ranks last in the league in run defense, giving up 157.8 yards per game.
