Crennel will finish out season as Chiefs head coach

December 12, 2011 By Bill Pollock

The Chiefs have confirmed that defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel will coach the team for the remainder of the 2011 season following the firing of Todd Haley. This is his second season with the Chiefs, following a four-year stint as head coach of the Cleveland Browns (2005-08). Crennel led Cleveland to a 10-6 record in 2007, which was the club’s best mark since finishing 11-5 in 1994.

Kansas City has three games remaining on its 2011 schedule: December 18th vs. Green Bay, December 24th vs. Oakland and January 1st at Denver.
