No cast on Orton’s finger

December 6, 2011 By Bill Pollock

Chiefs backup quarterback Kyle Orton was seen briefly in the locker room on Monday during an open media period and had his index finger on his right hand taped up, but it wasn’t in a cast. Todd Haley didn’t offer up an news on Orton’s status for Sunday’s game against the Jets in New York.

Orton went through this a couple of years ago in the preseason at Denver , missed a preseason game, but made it back in time for their season opener. Tyler Palko, regardless of Orton’s status is scheduled to make his third start.
