The federal government continues to wait for a bidder in its white elephant sale in Cape Girardeau. It put the old federal courthouse on the market for a second time a month ago and so far nobody has made a bid. The General Services Administration wants a starting bid of $25,000 dollars. It has not set a closing date for the on-line auction.
The first auction collapsed when none of the top three bidders wanted to close the deal.
