A Macon woman who had been accused of multiple sex crimes earlier this year has been charged again with sodomy and other crimes. The F-B-I is involved in the investigation.

34-year-old Christina SpaidĀ is charged with second degree statutory sodomy, use of a child in a sexual performance and endangering the welfare of a child in Macon County Circuit Court. She’s also charged with a misdemeanor count of unlawful sex with an animal. MoberlyĀ Police arrested Spaid on the Macon County warrant yesterday.

Macon Police Chief Steve OlingerĀ says the North Missouri Drug Task Force and his investigators served a search warrant at the Spaid home in December 2010.

SpaidĀ and her husband, Billie, were charged earlier this year on similar charges. Those state charges were dropped this summer. At the time, Macon County Prosecutor Joshua MeisnerĀ says the investigation continued, and that he hoped to be able to refileĀ charges in the future. That has happened yesterday, when he refiled against Christina Spaid. Billie Spaid is currently under federal indictment for two felony counts of possession of child pornography, and he’s charged in Macon County with endangering the welfare of a child.

The Macon Police Department’s probable cause statement quotes Christina SpaidĀ as admitting to the sex acts against a relative and with an animal. She told detectives she did it at the request of her husband, who was present during the acts. Christina Spaid’s bond has been set at nine-thousand dollars cash-only. She remains jailed this morning.
