Springfield councilman investigated for road rage incident

December 1, 2011 By Brian Hauswirth

The police chief in Springfield is asking the Highway Patrol to step in and take over the investigation centered around councilman Nick Ibarra.  The chief says he’s asking for the help because of the seriousness of allegations and the fact that Ibarra is an elected official.  On Thanksgiving, there was some kind of road-rage assault involving Ibarra and two men.  Police are giving few details since no one has been arrested or charged.
