Attorney General Chris Koster says the Justice Awards recognize that it’s not only firemen or policemen who keep people safe, but that it’s everyone’s job, so this is the second year he’s given out these awards.  He awarded several individuals and groups in six different categories.

One of the people he is recognizing this year is the Director of the Missouri Coalition Against Domestic and Sexual Violence, Colleen Coble. She says her award was for her part in enacting new domestic violence laws. She was on the Attorney General’s Domestic Violence Task Force in 2010, whose recommendations resulted in new domestic violence laws passed this year.
