Suspended Missouri football Coach Gary Pinkel pleaded guilty to a Class B misdemeanor charge for driving while intoxicated in Boone County circuit court and was given a 30-day suspended sentence in Boone County Jail. According to Assistant Prosecuting Attorney Cassandra Rogers, Pinkel will serve two years unsupervised probation.

According to the probable cause statement filed by the Boone County Sheriff’s department, the on-duty deputy noticed erratic driving on Highway 63, failing to use turn signals and wide turns as Pinkel exited 63 onto Broadway.

Pinkel admitted to consuming two glasses of wine over an hour and a half period. The deputy said he observed Pinkel to have glassy and bloodshot eyes and that he detected a strong odor from Pinkel’s breath.
