Interim Committee on Disaster Recovery Chair Shane Schoeller says the committee has until the end of the year to finalize the report, so it isn’t rushing through any details. One of the issues the committee was having a hard time agreeing on is a prevailing wage requirement for those doing the rebuilding in communities hit by disasters. Schoeller says maybe that’s best decided by another committee.
Other issues the committee is still working out is how to treat medical professionals coming in from out-of-state to help. The Committee expects to have a report out after Thanksgiving.
