Contaminated tampons being pulled from shelves

November 15, 2011 By Jessica Machetta

Kotex tampons have been recalled in Missouri.

Kimberly-Clark is recalling around 1,400 cartons of them, claiming the plastic tubing could contain a bacteria that could cause “dangerous infections.”

The contaminated tampons were shipped to Walmart stores in Missouri, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico and Texas. All stores have been notified to pull them from their shelves … no infections have been reported.
