The number 25 Mizzou Tiger basketball team gets its first win of the season as they beat Southeast Missouri State at the Mizzou Arena, 83 to 68.

Coach Frank Haith says it was a tale of two halves.  Mizzou only led by two points at the break.

In the second half, the Tigers would break the game open early, and would never look back.  Despite a late run from the Red Hawks.

Mizzou was led by Ricardo Ratliffe and Marcus Denmon who each had 20 points. Kim English had 19 and Phil Pressey had 10.

The Tigers were led on the boards by Ratliffe and Denmon who each had 8.

Mizzou would shoot better then 46 percent from the floor and less then 40 percent from behind the three point line.

The Tigers would shoot very well at the charity stripe.  Mizzou would hit more then 85 percent of its free throws.

Tiger Guard Marcus Denmon says at times, they were too fast for their own good.

Mizzou is back in action on Monday night at home as they will take on Mercer in the first round of the CBE Classic.
