Tilley drops his lt. gov. ambitions

House Speaker Steven Tilley is pulling out of the race for Lituenant Governor. Tilley says he wants to spend more time with his family during his last year as Speaker of the House.

No other Republicans have announced as candidates for the job now held by Peter Kinder although some other names have been mentioned in Republican circles as possibles.

Kinder announced several months ago that he will not seek a third term. He has idicated he’ll run for governor but has refused to make a formal announcement.
