About an inch of rain has drowned a 5,000-acre fire in the Mark Twain National Forest in the Salem-Bunker area.  The fire actually was two fires.  Forest fire management officer Jody Eberly says the two fires burned almost 5,000 acres.  The fires are believed to be arson-caused.  She says no structures were endangered and no wildlife appears to have been killed.
