Former Senator Christopher Bond will be leading a Missouri trade mission to Indonesia in January.  Bond has been building contacts in east and southeast Asia for four decades and now has formed a new company, Kit Bond Strategies, to give strategic advice for international business development, among other things.  His new company is partnering with the St. Louis World Trade Center to push Missouri business into an area that he calls one of the most dynamic, untapped markets in the world.

Bond made his first trade mission trip to the area during his second term as governor, in the 1980s.  He has continued making contacts in the region during his 24 years in the United States Senate.

Several Missouri business and education leaders plan to go on the trip that he hopes produces some trade deals on the spot
