Former head of KC Fed considered for top position at FDIC

The retired head of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank has been nominated to be Vice-President of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.

Thomas Hoenig retired Oct. 1 after two decades as President of the Kansas City Fed.
