Branson considers limits on pseudophedrine

November 3, 2011 By Brian Hauswirth

City leaders are talking about making pseudoephedrine prescription only. Medicines like Sudafed for colds contain that as a main ingredient. Spokesman Jerry Adams says the idea came from a pharmacist’s conversation with an alderman.

Adams says it’s also a health and safety issue because many over the counter medications with ephedrine are used to make methamphetamine.

The forum will be held during the regular alderman meeting Monday night at seven at Branson city hall at 7 pm.
