State’s first snow of the season is forecast for tonight

November 2, 2011 By Mike Lear

The first snow of the season is in the forecast for tonight in parts of Missouri.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Mike July says far west-central and northwest parts of the state could see rain change over to snow by late tonight and into early tomorrow morning.

Kansas City and St. Joseph are among areas that might see up to 2 inches of wet, heavy snow accumulating on surfaces like grass and windshields. July says roadways remain warm enough that snow will probably turn to slush on those surfaces.
