Springfield fire sends firemen to hospital

November 1, 2011 By Brian Hauswirth

Springfield City Utilities says two workers are doing better after carbon monoxide levels rose Monday at the John Twitty Energy Center, also known as Southwest Two Power Plant. They were taken to the hospital when coal caught fire in some bins.

Alexander says the two workers will be okay. Power was not affected, and there appears to be no damage.
