Missouri has a new Supreme Court Judge.

Judge George W. Draper III has been named to the Court by Governor Jay Nixon to fill the seat created by the retirement of the Honorable Michael Wolff in August.

Judge Draper has been on the bench 17 years, most recently for the Missouri Court of Appeals Eastern District since 2000. Before that, he worked as a prosecutor with the St. Louis Circuit Attorney’s Office for 10 years.

He was one of three candidates presented to the Governor for consideration by the Appellate Judicial Commission under the Missouri Court Plan.
